Mod Guidelines

Hello and thank you for taking interest in being a mod, below I have outlined all the responsibilities of each available role. We are looking for five moderators to join the team.

1. Social Media Moderator
2. Discord Moderator
3. Two Communications Moderators
4. Graphics Moderator

I understand that putting yourself out there can be hard; so before I get into the responsibilities of each mod I would like to make it clear that everyone has the equal opportunity to become a mod. Past experience is a plus but not the most valuable thing. Mods will overseeing a community of at least eighty (but most likely more) participants; so the ability to be a team player as well as mediate between people is very important. Our top goal as mods is to create a safe, fun and welcoming environment for our participants.

With that being said here are the positions and responsibilities for each position....

Social Media Moderator
Will be responsible for overseeing Tumblr and Twitter correspondence with Participants. This includes answering asks and direct messages. As well as handling mod introductions, participant promos and previews. Our social media mod will also be responsible for keeping or social media accounts active and engaging throughout the big bang.

Discord Moderator
While all moderators will be required to join the bb discord to help. This mod will be the primary discord mod; and will oversee all discord communication/interactions. They will also be responsible for answering participant questions/comments/concerns in the mod-inquiry channel and via private messaging on discord as well as relaying all important announcements to the server. Additionally, they will be responsible for back reading all conversations to ensure guidelines for the server are being upheld.

Communications Moderator
These two moderators may assist other mods from time to time. But their primary responsibility will be assisting in the email correspondence during summary submissions, claims, check ins and posting. They will also aid in partnering participants as well assigning pinch-hitters if and when necessary. They will also assist in information management during claims, check in and positing; for example helping prep for the summary viewing and participant story/art previews.

Graphics Moderator
This mod will be responsible for creating graphics for the bang. These graphics include but aren't limited to Mod Introductions, Promotional Graphics for Sign-Ups, Participant Previews, Posting Graphics for Promotions, as well as general headers/icons for our social media platforms.

Lastly before I finish up this long introduction I would like to say that even though all the selected moderators will have an assigned role. That doesn't mean we aren't a team. We are all there for each other and will be helping one another as needed. So if a role seems intimidating; just remember you are not alone. There will be six of us (myself included) in total.

What kind of bang is this?
The Astuhina Big Bang will be functioning as a traditional bang. Writers will submit summaries for their works and artists will be paired based on their top ten preferences.

Is NSFW allowed / What constitutes NSFW?
While this event is not strictly NSFW but NSFW content is allowed and more than welcomed for all 18+ participants. When summaries are put out for claiming; NSFW summaries will be posted for viewing separately and only artists that are 18+ will be allowed to view and claim them.

Additionally, what constitutes NSFW can vary from person to person. In terms of this bang, the line between SFW and NSFW is strictly in relation to any type of sexually explicit or extremely sexually charged content. Vore, reference to any type of sexual play or fantasy is also all NSFW.

Is there an age restriction?
We ask that all participants be at least 14 years old. However, keep in mind that there will be certain age-restricted areas of Discord so that adults can have a place to talk openly alone and minors will have one as well. Minors are not allowed to interact with any sort of NSFW content under any circumstances.

To be an NSFW contributor or interact with NSFW content, you must be 18+ years old.

Do participants have the option of being partnered strictly within their age group (17 and under OR 18 and over)?
During sign-ups, all participants will be asked if they are comfortable working outside their age group. Minors will be asked if they are comfortable being paired with adults over 18. Adults will be asked if they are comfortable working with minors under 18. One of our top priorities is to ensure that all participants feel safe and comfortable within the community throughout the duration of this bang; so we understand how critical it is that ages are taken into account when partnering participants.

Can you take on multiple roles? (Writer, Artist, Beta and so on)
Yes, dual creators (people who are an artist and a writer) are more than welcomed. In addition to such, all creators will be asked if they are willing to pinch hit during sign-ups. Beta roles and Cheerleading roles are also available to everyone.
Mods only ask that you evaluate your own capabilities and be mindful of how much you as a participant can take on.

What sort of content is banned?
Any dark content will not be allowed, specifically in relation to graphic or detailed depictions of dark themes (including but not limited to themes regarding pedophilia, incest, suicide and non-con) which could be tagged as darkfic or dead dove.

Additionally, we do not allow any content that advocates for any type of hate towards different races, religions, nationalities, genders, or sexualities. If you are unsure whether or not something is allowed, don’t be afraid to ask or consult with the mods. Details regarding content triggers will be listed below.

We want to make it clear that we are in no way trying to pass any moral judgments on the types of content fans want to create. At the same time, because this bang is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, we do want to make it a safe and accessible space for as wide an audience as possible. What is considered "potentially triggering content"?
Potentially triggering content are any themes included or centered around Alcohol, Drugs, Mental Health, Character Death, Illness, Violence or Accidents resulting in death. While these content themes are allowed; warnings must be tagged during summary submissions and proper spoiler tags must be used when discussing them in the server or with other participants.

Does this event have a theme or trope participants have to use or is anything okay so long as it’s AtsuHina?
Per results of the Interest Check, there is not central theme for this Bang. As long as your piece is Atsuhina focused, you are good to go!!

WRITERS FAQ

WRITERS

How long does our piece have to be?
Required Minimum Word Count is 5000 words. There is no maximum. Please be mindful of this requirement when signing up and plan accordingly.

If I choose to write a multi-chapter fic for this bang; Does it have to be completed in its entirety by the final deadline? Or in the event that it is complete do writers have to post it all at once?
No, for the final deadline. Once posting begins writers only need to have the posting meet a) the minimum word count and b) Up to where the scene for your artists’ piece appears (even if that's over the min.). Posting will be staggered starting on June 15th.

Can we use a fic that we have already been working on? Or do we have to make a new one from scratch?
Any work that hasn’t already been published online in any form if welcome. So if you have a story in your drafts that you’d like to use, you are more than welcome. However you can’t use a fic that you have already published/currently ongoing.

Can fics feature platonic AtsuHina or do they have to be romantically involved?
No, AtsuHina don’t have to be romantically involved as long as their relationship is still the focus of the story and that they aren’t romantically involved with any other characters. The only exception to this being if their secondary relationship is a plot device leading up to their eventual end game.

Can Authors write more than one fic?
Yes! However we ask that you be mindful of your own capabilities and don't take on more than you can handle. Each fic will still have to be 5k long and you with have to fill out a summary submission for for each.

Are participants allowed to include other characters in their pieces as long as the fic is AtsuHina centred? Also, can participants include love triangles or OT3 pairings?
As long as Atsumu and Hinata are the main focus, other characters are allowed to appear in created content. Love triangles may appear at the discretion of the creators but OT3 pairings are not allowed.

ARTISTS

Are artists allowed to paint their own pictures or must/ they work together with a writer? (i.e. an artist wants to draw a short comic, with their own story idea)
A Big Bang is a community event so in order to participate working independently is not an option. However, if at some point throughout the bang you create your own content (i.e. a comic) granted it is AtsuHina related -- we will gladly help you promote it on our main blogs and Twitter as well as on the Discord server. Our team wants to see all of our participants get the recognition they deserve for their talents.

Is there a skill requirement?
There is no skill requirement to join/participate in the bang. Artists of all skill levels are welcomed.

Do art pieces for the bang need to be in color / is black & white ok?
Black & White is perfectly fine but so is color. Things like such will be left completely to the artists’ discretion.

Is there a size requirement for art pieces?
No; as mentioned above. Anything related to the artists’ creations will be left up to them. Though I do urge you while picking your size to keep in mind that all final art pieces will be posted on Twitter and Tumblr.

Do art pieces need to be digital?
No, art pieces can be digital or traditional. However, for sake of presentation quality, traditional art pieces will need to be scanned in high resolution. If it proves necessary mods will post tutorials on how to submit various types of traditional art for posting.

Will you be offering options of artists claiming multiple prompts since it seems there are more writers than artists signing up?
We will have the option for artists to take on more than one summary. During signups artists will be asked if they would be willing to do more than one piece; if they say yes they will be asked how many more. With the option of doing up to three. This does not necessarily mean that every artist who picks to do more will do more but it will simply give us moderators room to work with should the need arise during claiming.
